For the restoration, the sashes were disassembled and worked horizontally to perform some cleaning tests and to identify the appropriate solvent to swell and remove the maintenance layers accumulated over the years. Next came the capillary consolidation of the wood using specific resins and the fixing of the unglued inlays using aliphatic glue. Finally, all missing areas were supplemented with new treated dowels and the entire surface treated with woodworm products.
